Beginning in May of 2012, Greenwood is launching a new discipleship initiative designed to help parents nurture and develop their children spiritually as well as provide biblical truths applicable for all ages.  On Sunday morning, Pastor Tim will be preaching through a family devotional series entitled "Christ in the Old Testament."  The goal is   to help us all see many of the key stories of the Old Testament as not just moralistic lessons in living, but as pointing to Christ and the comprehensive plan of God to redeem His creation. 

The family devotional is entitled "Long Story Short" and is a great tool for parents designed to be used at bedtime or mealtime to help teach their children about the Gospel and the truths of God's Word.  Pastor Tim will preach on the same text parents will use with the kids during the week in order to help the parents become more familiar with the themes covered in the devotional.
