Congregational Care Network at a Glance

The Congregational Care Network (CCN) at Greenwood is a ministry that provides an environment of pastoral care within the congregation such that all members feel bound together in love, compassion, nurture, support and care.

1. To develop a web of relational Christian care-giving throughout the congregation which will result in every member feeling at home in this church;

2. To have caring become a characteristic of the congregation which welcomes and invites others to become a part of the body of Christ;

3. To plan and coordinate ministries to provide pastoral care to the congregation; &

4. To provide physical, emotional and spiritual support to the families in times of triumph, tragedy, joy and sorrow.

The Ministries of the CCN

Comfort Meals
The Comfort Meals ministry has the opportunity to reach out in a very practical way to touch people who are in need. When there is a death of a loved one, hospitalization, or serious illness, the volunteers provide a meal for the family.

Express Care
The Express Care ministry shows we care by sending cards and/or flowers to members and friends of the church as expressions of our love and support during times of crisis, distress, in memory and in celebration.

Give-a-Lift
The Give-a-Lift ministry provides transportation for members unable to drive to attend church or to meet health needs.

Prayer Partners
The Prayer-Partners ministry supports our congregation by maintaining a network of individuals committed to praying confidentially for people in times of crisis and need.

K.I.T. Care
The K.I.T. (Keeping in touch) Care ministry is for those who are no longer able to fellowship at the church on a regular basis due to age or illness. KIT Care-givers make visits, phone calls and provide access to other care as needed.

Grocery List
The grocery list ministry provides food for needy families within the guidelines of the Benevolent Policy.
